King David in his psalms, full of emotions, went through crisis after crisis.

Therefore "wait on the Lord: bo of good courage, n He shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."(Ps27:14)
David spent time in His presence. The Lord strengthens his heart to keep it from fear. God will physically strengthen our hearts n heal them from the ordeal of the battle that has weakened our hearts.
On our own we cannot handle all the great emotions of disappointments in life. they are like waves over u. great loss. great pain. Everything gone. zero. Can u get up again? A depressed person cannot even lift himself up from the bed.
But here we see hope n strength to go on. only God's presence can do that.
"He hide me in His pavilion, in the secret of His tabernacle"
This is the secret of strength. God is the source of my strength. God can yet perform a miracle.
"He will protect me under the cover of His wings. He shall set me upon a rock" I can yet rise up again.

"Wait upon the Lord. Be of good courage n He shall strengthen your heart.

Psalm 46:1-5 :
"God is our refuge n strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear. though the earth shakes. the mountains fall. the waters roar.
the city of God will not be moved. God will help her when morning comes."

In His presence, there is peace n comfort. We need to be comforted, to find rest n assurance, like a baby in the arms of the mother. This helps us to go through coz when we fall, we become weak like a baby.
Though u fall, u shall not be utterly cast down.
God will direct u in His righteous path. God with u, u will overcome.
